Rooftop

We at TES, understand the potential of energy savings in rooftop building, with our customized design we make it possible that every sunray is captured and used properly. A solar rooftop system is installing solar panels in the roof of any residential, institutional, social, Government, commercial, industrial buildings, etc. A Rooftop installation of a Solar Plant helps in cutting down electricity bills. It supplies electricity to buildings, so they need to buy less electricity thereby saving on energy costs.
VARIOUS TYPES OF ROOFTOP SOLAR PANELS ARE
  • Solar Rooftop System with Storage Facility using battery
  • Grid Connected Solar Rooftop System

What is a Solar Rooftop System with Storage Facility using the battery ?

A Solar Rooftop system, having a storage facility is a process of storing the solar in a battery which can be used later in the night or during times when there is no sun. It is an assembly of many solar panels called a solar array which is connected to a battery bank that acts as stores these powers and acts as a backup during those times of need.

What is a Grid Connected Solar Rooftop System ?

In a Grid Connected Rooftop also called as Small SPV system, the DC power generated from the SPV panel is converted to AC power using a power conditioning unit/Inverter is fuelled to the grid either to a 440/220 Volt three/single phase line or to a 33 kV/11 kV three-phase lines depending on the capacity of the system installed at residential, institution/commercial establishment and the regulatory framework specified for respective States.

Solar Rooftop System
These systems generate power during the daytime which is utilized by powering captive loads and feed excess power to the grid as long as the grid is available. In case, where solar power is not sufficient due to cloud cover etc., the captive loads are served by drawing balance power from the grid.

What Model can be implemented ?

Net metering is a billing process that adds the solar energy system owners for the electricity they add to the grid. The grid-connected rooftop system works on a net metering basis wherein the beneficiary pays based on the net meter readings. We can also install two meters, to measure the export and import of power separately. A Mutual Agreed Tariff can be adopted for gross metering also.
Points to be considered before the installation of a Solar Panel
There are 2 types of Solar PV System
  • On-Grid
  • Off-Grid With battery
Based on the Location we can decide to go for an Off-grid or an On-Grid. In locations, where you have long electricity cuts, an Off-Grid with Battery is a perfect choice. When you go for an off-grid lot of parameters are checked like
  • How long you are going to use
  • What are the instruments that to be used
Based on these inputs the Solar PV System can be customized according to the needs of the customers and to decide on an On-Grid Solar PV System installation, the capacity of the house has to be calculated to arrive at whether to install On-Grid or an Off-Grid in your house. For example, you have 2 AC’s runs means u 8 + 8 units’ means 4-kilo watts capacity you spend
BASED ON THE ABOVE POINT AND BELOW POINTS WE CAN SELECT THE SOLAR PV SYSTEM:
  • Based on the location (On-grid or Off-Grid ) & Evaluate your need for what you are going to
use it is for Savings (means go for On-grid) or Comforts (Means go for Off-grid)
  • Check your Solar Energy Potential
  • Choose the right-sized system for your needs.
  • Understand the Cost of Installation of Solar Panels and incentives available
  • Discuss with your retailer who will own feed-in-tariffs or green energy certificates, if they
apply & verify whether the Solar Energy Provider is an authorized & certified person to
provide you the Solar Energy Solutions.
  • Install the system and sign-up the mutual agreements

Capex Model

The Complete System is owned by the rooftop owners.
The Rooftop Owner bears the cost of the Solar system.
The responsibility of O&M for the system lifetime (25 years) is also with the rooftop owner.
The developer is responsible for installing the system and initial 2 years O&M and five years warranty.
The dedicated team needed at the customer’s end to evaluate system design, installation, and operation.

Opex Model

The system is owned by the developer.
The Rooftop Owner bears the cost of the Solar system.
The responsibility of O&M for the system lifetime (say about 25 years) is also with the developer. Rooftop owners may consume the electricity generated, for which they have to pay a pre-decided tariff monthly.
Excess generation may be exported to the grid, subject to the availability of requisite state regulations.
Adani Solar handles all technical matters.
Considering the points mentioned above and based on your needs you can select the kind of model that suits you.
